Who We Work With
Many of our students come to us because mainstream schooling has become difficult due to social, emotional or behavioural needs, or because they need a more personalised, understanding envrionment.
We also support students with additional learning needs through our SEND programme - working with families and professionals to create tailored Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) and providing therapies, mentoring and well-being support.
Our Curriculum & Approach
At YWH, we offer a cirrculum that is both academic and vocational, and always grounded in building strong life-skills: literacy, numeracy, communication, digital competence, resilience and critical thinking.
Each student follows a bespoke timetable based on their interests and needs. We believe that when young women are engaged in what they learn, and feel supported, they can make real progress.
We monitor progress not just in terms of exams or qualifications, but personally and socially - how the student grows in confidence, how her attendance improves, how she begins to make positive choices for her future.
Our Community & Partnership Ethos
We believe that supporting young women is a team effort - students, families, staff and external partners working together. We actively seek collaborations with other organisations and agencies to strengthen the support we offer and extend opportunities for our learners.
